How To Prepare Your Garden For Winter: For Toronto Homeowners

 1. Perennials   Cut back the dry stems. Eliminate bother eggs and infection pores.  Mulch appropriately with hacked leaves, pine needles, and other such natural materials.  Stand by till the ground freezes before adding a 6-layer mulch of natural materials.  2. Annuals    When there is slight ice, cover the plants with fabric.  Pull up the dead plants and add them to your manure pile.  Dispose of the plants that have a parasitic sickness.  Mulch the plant beds with natural material, for example, cleaved surrenders to 3-4 layers.     3. Bulbs   Uncover them, and delicately forget about the overabundance earth.  Mulch the bulb beds appropriately to keep the dirt from moving and hurling out little bulbs.  Store them in a breathable holder, and spot paper between the layers.  Pick a dry, cool zone to store them.   4.
